Marissa Williams, LMFT(she/her)
I've had the privilege of supporting the neurodivergent community for 17 years.
Like many women, I didn't realize I was neurodivergent until my 30's. Since then, I've been on a mission to understand myself, honor my needs as valid, and work towards a more authentic version of myself. I am passionate about empowering other women to do the same. |
How is therapy with me different?
With me, you never need to apologize for asking too many questions, needing extra time to process information, or communicating "differently". Your emotions, experiences, and sensory needs are valid. As a neuroaffirming therapist, I won't try to change you or recommend strategies that don't work for your brain and nervous system. You are welcome to be your authentic self. If you don't know what that looks like, we can explore it together.
I know how difficult it can be to communicate your thoughts and feelings to others, to admit that you don't have it all together, to feel like you have to prove your value. As neurodivergent women, we have had to work twice as hard to fit in, be heard, and survive in a world that was not designed for us.
I offer a safe place to take off the mask, let go of the shame, and finally feel understood.
